The South Ogden City Fire Department has a primary emergency response area of approximately 3 square miles within city limits as well
as another 8 square miles covered under automatic and licensed area coverage. Two fire stations are staffed with 3 personnel on a 24 / 7 basis.
Each station has a company officer, an apparatus driver / operator, and a firefighter. All personnel are also state certified Emergency Medical
Technichians, many of whom are certified at the advanced life support level.
The majority of call volume in and around the city consists of Emergency Medical responses (approximately 80% of the 1800 average
annual 9-1-1 responses). In addition to medical aid, fire suppression, hazardous materials and rescue responses, on duty crews perform daily
safety inspections of public buildings and busineses.
